NASA's Juno spacecraft flew over Jupiter's cloud tops at an approximate distance of 4,707 miles (7,576 kilometres). In doing so, it managed to capture this original image which displays certain features of the gas giant such as; Whale's Tail and Dan's Spot. Citizen scientist Gerald Eichstadt then processed the image of the spacecraft's-eye JunoCam, thus, creating the final masterpiece.
